Murder on the Orient Express opens this month
Sept. 6. The Davidson Community Players production of Murder on the Orient Express opens Sept. 22. Tickets can be purchased by calling 704-892-7953 or going online. Advance tickets: Adult – $20; senior (65+) – $18; student (under 21) – $15. The play runs through Oct. 9 at the Armour Street Theatre, 307 Armour St., Davidson.
Davidson ringing community dinner bell at Beaver Dam

Davidson composting program starts soon
Aug. 30. The Town of Davidson has teamed up with Crown Town Compost to reduce food waste at the landfill by introducing a new pilot composting program. Lorimer reopening for the weekend
Aug. 26. Lorimer Road between Thompson Street and Pine Road, where the water main break occurred earlier this week, will be closed until 3:30 pm but it will temporarily reopen for the weekend. Repairs will continue early next week.
Significant water main break in Davidson
Aug. 24. There has been a “significant” water main break on Lorimer Road in Davidson between Pine and Thompson. Expect extended road closures if you’re driving through, as well as interrupted service. As of late morning Wednesday, CLT Water was en route to begin repairs.
