For the kids: First responder vehicles Saturday at Birkdale Village

Sept. 13. Fire trucks, police cars and rescue boats will take over Birkdale Village for “Safety Saturday” on Sept. 18. The event lets kids celebrate and learn about local first responders—and jam to a live DJ. Participating organizations include the Cornelius Lake Patrol Division, Huntersville Police Department and the Huntersville Fire Department.
