Nov. 15. If you need more wine for a party, and don’t have time to jump in the car, Shipt will get it for you from Harris Teeter. Starting tomorrow, Shipt members 21 and older can shop Harris Teeter’s selection of beer and wine online and have it sent to their homes pronto. Both Harris Teeters in Cornelius, plus Davidson and the rest of the Charlotte market are joining in. Shipt charges $99 a year.

Shipt and Harris Teeter partnered up in October for home delivery of groceries; wine and beer deliveries are brand new. Items at Harris Teeter’s local stores are available to Shipt members through their app, which offers a one-hour delivery window with delivery times available as soon as one hour after the order is placed. To verify age, members will scan their IDs through the app and will be required to present the same identification to the Shipt Shopper upon delivery.

Shipt will require that their shoppers complete additional training on Shipt’s alcohol delivery policies and procedures to ensure safe and responsible delivery to members. Only certified shoppers will be allowed to complete alcohol deliveries. Info: Shipt.com/Charlotte.
