Bailey’s Glen will host its annual Artisan Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Bailey’s Glen Clubhouse.

More than 35 Bailey’s Glen residents will sell handmade items, including quilts, yard art, paintings, pottery, woodworking, wreaths, cards and plants. Many of the participating residents developed their artistic and craft skills after retirement through the community’s pottery and woodworking studios.

The market will feature a patriotic theme in recognition of the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary. The clubhouse will display photographs taken by residents at national parks, national monuments and 250th anniversary celebrations. Several artisans also will offer patriotic-themed artwork.

Sandy Thibeault, a Renaissance artist, will exhibit egg-tempera paintings and wool needle-felted sculptures. Her work combines medieval techniques, including egg tempera and gold leaf, with realistic subjects and 15th-century aesthetics. Her work has been exhibited at museums in New York, Ohio and Florida.

Food and drinks, including brats, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks, will be available for purchase from Bailey’s Glen Grill Masters.
