Nov. 10. By Dave Vieser. The owners of Harvey’s of Huntersville and the now-closed Harvey’s on Liverpool, have leased the former Peninsula Bistro space in the Jetton Cove Shopping Center, just across from Alton’s Kitchen & Cocktails. Harvey’s owner Charlie Dyer has been a supporter of a wide variety of non-profits and community service organizations in North Mecklenburg. The name of the new place is Harvey’s in Cornelius.

“I’m very excited to be back in Cornelius and the feedback already has been overwhelmingly positive. I’m looking forward to catering as well as serving our families and friends in Lake Norman,” Dyer said.

The lease was signed in the past 10 days and renovations are under way now, Dyer said. Harvey’s in Cornelius will be open in time for New Year’s Eve, with private parties available in December.

Harvey’s original location on Cinnabar Place in the Vermillion section of Huntersville opened in June of 2009. Dyer said partner and chef Josh McCracken is coming from Block Bistro.
