Flags at half-staff again
March 24. Gov. Roy Cooper has ordered all US and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on Saturday, March 27 in honor of the victims of the tragedy in Boulder, Colorado. As a show of respect for the individuals who lost their lives on Monday in a senseless act of violence and to their families in mourning, Cooper encouraged all North Carolinians to join in lowering flags to half-staff.

Lowering flags is a very compassionate action, but it doesn’t really help prevent shootings. Lowering guns is the only way to prevent these tragedies.
