LITTLE

Jerry “Booty” Little, 89, of Huntersville died on December 18, 2016 at Autumn Care of Cornelius. He was the son of the late Horace and Connie Little. He was raised in Cornelius and spent a lot of time there hanging out at the “tree of knowledge” and later at Cashion’s Quik Stop. He retired in 1980 from Johnson Motor lines. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and the Atlanta Braves and going deep sea fishing.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Dean Little and his wife Daphne of Huntersville; grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, and Garrett Little of Charlotte.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Little; brother, Howard “Shorty” Little; sister, Lois Benfield; and step-son, Michael Fore.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the start of the service. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Cornelius where he was a lifetime member.
