1-2:30 pm | March 4. David “DG” Gonzalez, a 26-year industry veteran, will instruct attendees on the brewing process, brewing ingredients and more. 6:30-9:30 pm | March 4. Take part in an authentic ghost hunt of the building and grounds (weather permitting) led by members of the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society. Limited to 18 guests, 12 and older. Tickets $25. Hugh Torance House & Store, 8231 Gilead Rd., Huntersville.

Sunday, March 5
9:30 am – noon. | March 5. The Jewish Council of Lake Norman and Temple Kol Tikvah’s youth group host the annual Purim Carnival. The theme is Harry Potter. All are welcome to celebrate Purim. Come dressed in costume and have fun making crafts, playing games like Quidditch Relay Race, Potion Making, Bounce House and more. $8 per child. Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, who was planning to have all of Persia’s Jewish subjects killed, as recounted in the Book of Esther.
