Unity in Community large group meeting is April 20

March 22. Unity in Community North Mecklenburg will hold its quarterly large group meeting from 10 am to noon April 20 at the Davidson united Methodist Church Chapel at 302 S. Main.

The theme is Rally for Action: Be inspired! Feel empowered! Take action!

Whether you feel passionate or indifferent about this year’s elections, come, be inspired and encouraged, and be empowered to participate in ways that are meaningful to you that ensure your voice, along with all of our votes, count.”

Guest speakers

Guest speakers include Rev. Lisa Garcia-Sampson, executive director of UU Justice NC, and Jennifer Roberts, NC co-leader for the Carter Center’s Strengthening Democracy Project and a former mayor of Charlotte.
