Town planners recommend approving new medical building near Antiquity

Jan. 21. By Dave Vieser. A proposed medical building to be built near the Antiquity development moved a step closer to reality this month when the Town Planning recommended approval at their January meeting.

The applicant, MVP Properties of Charlotte, seeks to develop a one-story 16,000 square feet building devoted to professional/general office uses focusing on medical, dental and optical operations and clinics.

The 1.76 acre property on North Zion Avenue is currently vacant.

In order for the project to proceed, the current zoning, known as Town Center, would need to be changed to Conditional Zoning.

The site is approximately 275 feet northeast of the Catawba Avenue/Highway 115 intersection.

The second and final Town Board public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for Monday Feb. 1 at 6 pm.
