Today’s report: NC, Mecklenburg new daily case trends

Sept. 3. Using John Hopkins University’s data, we compiled North Carolina’s new confirmed COVID-19 cases from Aug. 3 through Sept. 2. The state’s median number of new cases since Aug. 3 is 1,345 and the state’s median over the past seven days is 1,415—exactly the same as yesterday. It means that new case volume over the past 7 days is still running 5.2 percent ahead of new case volume over the past month.

Mecklenburg

Mecklenburg County accounts for 10 percent of statewide cases. The new case volume over the past 7 days (a median of 147 per day) is running 2.6 percent below new case volume over the past month (a median of 151 per day).
