A straight and not narrow path

July 29. A 10-foot wide multi-use path is being built along West Catawba Avenue on the north and south sides of the Robbins Park neighborhood. The Town’s $162,202  project connects the McDowell Creek Greenway to Kenton Place. The project is officially scheduled for completion by the end of September. Oliver Paving, based in Charlotte, is the contractor.

UPDATE/NEW DATE. The Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Department (PARC) will hold another community meeting at 630 pm Aug. 13 at Calvary Chapel Church to discuss the proposed extension of the McDowell Creek Greenway from Westmoreland Road to Catawba Avenue, connecting to the existing McDowell Creek Greenway trail between Birkdale and Westmoreland Road.
