AUG. 12. As outlined in a Cornelius Today exclusive Aug. 6, the Cornelius Planning Board will host a special meeting Aug. 24 at 6:30 pm to review changes to the Alexander Farm plan, including a Traffic Impact Analysis from the NCDOT. The Planning Board may prepare a recommendation for the Town Board which, apart from roads, has final local authority over the project.
The developer has reduced the number of detached single-family homes from 84 to 76, and eliminated age limits for buyers. Plans for a fire station have been removed from the plan at the request of the town.

“After much consideration, it was determined that siting a Fire Station on the Alexander Farm Project was going to be difficult,” said Deputy Town Manager Wayne Herron.
