Atrium Facility Executive Brian Wofford
May 1. Brian M. Wofford, the inaugural CEO/facility executive of Atrium Health Lake Norman Hospital, will field questions during the open forum Q&A Newsmakers Breakfast May 22 at The Peninsula Club.
The $255 million hospital on 31 acres is an economic game-changer for Cornelius. Set to open early in July, the hospital has 36 inpatient beds, emergency services and two operating rooms. Atrium has also received Certificate of Need approval for an additional 23 beds.
Wofford, who was previously vice president of operations at Atrium Health Cabarrus, will lead the coordination of clinical patient care services and oversee financial and strategic growth initiatives for the hospital.
The Newsmakers Breakfast is an audience-driven Q&A with people who make the news. Anyone can ask them a question.

I’m hoping the new Atrium Hospital will be better at serving the public than the current Atrium Emergency Huntersville facility. After an unbelievable experience there, I’ll never go back unless it is life or death (with present care, result will probably be death)!
