NC Wildlife ID’s drowning victim
July 25. A man in his early 60s drowned last night after jumping off a boat near the mouth of the cove by the Peninsula Yacht Club. The incident happened around 9:35 pm Sunday.
The body of Joseph Suazo, 62, was recovered at 10:45 pm, according to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission.
The Cornelius Police Dept., Cornelius Fire Dept. and the Huntersville Fire Dept. responded.
