June 9. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services coronavirus report today shows 544 new COVID-19 cases statewide and 18 new deaths attributable to the coronavirus.

Hospitalizations are at 554 statewide, down from 568 yesterday.

In Mecklenburg County there were 40 new cases, but no new COVID deaths.

North Mecklenburg (change from Tuesday to today)

Cornelius: 1 new case, 2,875 cumulative; 25 deaths total.

Davidson: 0 new cases, 1,692 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 1 new case, 6,034 cumulative; 53 deaths total.
