Lorimer reopening for the weekend

Aug. 26. Lorimer Road between Thompson Street and Pine Road, where the water main break occurred earlier this week, will be closed until 3:30 pm but it will temporarily reopen for the weekend. Repairs will continue early next week.

Huntersville-Concord Road to re-open tomorrow

Aug. 25. Huntersville-Concord Road is on schedule to open Friday, Aug. 26, according to the Town of Huntersville. Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road will not open as planned at the southern round-about, however.  The new projected opening date is Sept. 9. Underground utility conflicts and unfavorable weather conditions delayed this work.

Significant water main break in Davidson

Aug. 24. There has been a “significant” water main break on Lorimer Road in Davidson between Pine and Thompson. Expect extended road closures if you’re driving through, as well as interrupted service. As of late morning Wednesday, CLT Water was en route to begin repairs.
