Pittenger Town Hall is Aug. 12

U.S. Rep. Robert Pittenger will host a Town Hall meeting Aug. 12 starting at 6:30 pm in the Assembly Room at Cornelius Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public and is part of the Congressman’s efforts to stay in touch with constituents.

Cornelius Elementary fundraiser

The Cornelius Elementary PTO is hosting a Silent Auction Fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 18 from 7-11 pm at the Galway Hooker in Cornelius. Funds raised will be used for Google Chromebooks for 3rd-5th graders, improvements to the school, grants for classrooms and professional development for staff members. Kiwanis make a splash with golf

The annual LKN Kiwanis Club golf tournament will be held Aug. 17 at the Cowans Ford Golf Club in Stanley. Proceeds from this event, the club’s largest fundraising event of the year, will go towards the Smithville Splash Park and other local children’s charities.
