Feb. 6. Bailey Road is flooded at the bike trail. Police were on the scene at 1 pm. Meanwhile, the Town Board has moved its 5 pm strategic planning session from Jetton Park to Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public and will be go on as planned as long as power outages do not occur and roadways stay clear.
More storms are expected this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Reports of 4-6 inches of rain to the west could be an indication of more flooding to come.

South southwest wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.”

CMS remains open
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools issued this statement: “It is safer for students to remain at school for the entire school day. For this reason CMS schools will not dismiss early. However, all after school activities, including sports, practices and other events, as well as community use of schools, will be cancelled.”
