The Town of Cornelius holds its annual remembrance of the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. The event includes moments of silence, a musical performance and prayer. Free.

First Responder Pickleball Tournament

Cheer on your hometown heroes as local first responders take to the courts in a special tournament and open play session.

Monthly gathering of active military, veterans, and first responders. Speakers include Marine veteran Scott McConnell and Christina Maria Kiser, daughter of the late Harry Saake, a Marine reservist who helped create the 9/11 memorial in Cornelius. Free.

Cornelius Festival of Cultures
Cain Park
11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Experience the many cultures that make up Cornelius and the surrounding areas. Attendees can experience different cultures through delicious food, drink, and beer and wine vendors, handmade items from various arts and crafts vendors, live performances from local groups, kids’ crafts and more. Free.

Downtown Cornelius
11 a.m.-

New all-day recurring monthly event from Smithville Park to Antiquity. Designed to encourage exploration, support local businesses and connect through art, music, and creative experiences. Free to attend

Davidson Fall Arts Festival
4-8 p.m.
Downtown Davidson

More than 50 local artists will be set up and attendees will be able to purchase handmade gifts, food at local restaurants, and listen to live music. Free to attend.
