June 4. The traffic signal at Jetton Road and West Catawba is up and running with the automatic system that measures the flow of traffic and adjusts timing accordingly. For an organization not necessarily known for excessive speeds, this was quite an accomplishment.

Traffic has been affected for six weeks—and Jetton Road blocked for about 100 feet on the Aquesta side of West Catawba—after a dump truck pulled out of the Chase Bank construction site with the bed up in the air, damaging a custom, upgraded signal arm.

The NCDOT will replace the fancy signal arm and seek reimbursement from the owner of the truck which caused the mishap.
