YMCA limits beach hours due to lifeguard shortage

May 26. The Lake Norman YMCA’s beach will be open this summer, but with limited hours due to the lifeguard shortage. The Y says the beach will be open noon to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer, with extended hours Memorial Day weekend. Lakefront activities will vary day-to-day. Beach access is included in monthly membership.

For non-members, a day pass is $20 per person.
