Weekend events happening in spite of weather

RURAL HILL LOCH NORMAN

April 12. With the weather looking dicey, event organizers are either moving things inside or hopping for the best. “Hop Into Spring,” put on by the Cornelius PARC Dept. every year, is moving from Robbins Park to the JV Washam Recreation Center, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The Loch Norman Games, held at the Rural Hill plantation in Huntersville, will go on rain or shine, according to event organizers. In the event of severe weather, check in with their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/2027380150716003/

Whisky Seminars will take place inside the Cultural Center at Rural Hill.

The Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Egg Hunt, a community event, has been moved inside. It runs 11 am to 1 pm. The bounce house—and thousands of Easter eggs—will be inside the Family Life Building!

The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms are likely today, tomorrow and Sunday.
