Start your Independence Day festivities early at the “Celebrate America” concert with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at Bailey Road Park. Presented by the Cornelius PARC Department, this celebration will have children’s activities, food trucks, and fireworks. Beer and wine sales will benefit Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists. Monty Python’s Spamalot
The Davidson Community Players present the musical adaptation of the classic film “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” June 21-July 1 at the Duke Family Performance Hall in Davidson.
Beyond Walls is Cornelius’s annual, award-winning exhibition. Open through January 31, 2019 at Robbins Park in Cornelius.
The Community School of Davidson Summerstock presents the hit musical about a dance-loving teen who becomes an overnight celebrity. June 20-24 at Community School of Davidson’s ArtSpace.
Pre-Screening Fundraiser
Come to a pre-screening of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.” Proceeds go to the IGNITE program for persons with high-functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. 7 p.m. at Our Town Cinemas in Davidson.

Kids’ Movie
Free screening of “Coco,” the story of an aspiring musician confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music. 2-4 p.m. at the Cornelius Branch Library.
A local storm expert will present information on how to prepare for natural disasters, how to respond to storms and flooding, what to do after a storm. Child care for children up to age 12.
