Enjoy great gospel music and help out five-year-old Jace Kinley Thompson at this weekend’s benefit concerts at Mount Zion UMC. “Warrior Jace” is undergoing treatments for a brain stem tumor. All proceeds from the concerts will go to Jace’s care. On Sunday, the Davidson Historical Society will host Bee Jay Caldwell, author of “Historic Little-Known, Well-Kept Facts: An Overview of Race Relations in North Carolina, Charlotte, and Pottstown” and “Historic Pottstown Families in Stories and Photos.” A native of Huntersville’s Pottstown area, Caldwell has been researching local history for many years. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
