Feb. 25 Cornelius Town Manager Anthony Roberts says Public Works employees are poised to apply brine, salt and sand to local roads, but they’re keeping a weather eye out for rain. Tonight’s storm is supposed to start early this evening with rain, which means all that brine and sand could be washed away. “It could be a waste of time and money,” Roberts says. He expects to hear more about the weather later today during a county-wide conference call.
