Tommy’s Appliance Tips: Spring clean your appliances

Spring is just around the corner. It’s a good time to clean coils on your refrigerator and clean your door gasket with soap and water and then dry.

It’s also a good time to check your washer hoses to look for cracks, dryness or swelling. If. you find any,  replace with rubber hoses.

Don’t forget to check your dryer vent hose. If it’s white, replace it with flexible aluminum vent hose. If it looks like it has a kink in, it replace it also.

Take your lint screen out and brush it clean; washing usually is ineffective. It’s good to limit dryer sheets to one or half a sheet for a load. Do not allow multiple sheets to accumulate in the dryer.
