Aug. 21. The Sonshine Preschool at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church anticipates re-opening its doors in January and offering a five-month preschool session from January through May for the 2021 school year.

“After reviewing all the data, information and the decisions made by local school districts; we have decided the safest and most cautious option is to delay our opening,” the church announced  in its newsletter.

“The Sonshine Administration and the Weekday Ministry Board have given a lot of thought and prayer to the preschool’s September opening,” it said. “We are committed to making the preschool the safest place for the health and well-being of our students and staff.”
