Richard M. Pelkey “Rick”, 54, of Cornelius, died February 28 at his home. He was born on October 1, 1960 in Wayne County, MI to Thomas Lee Pelkey, Sr. and Marilyn Lou Pelkey.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife Margery Ellen Pelkey; son, Tyler of Cornelius; daughters, Katelyn Simon and husband Joseph of Davidson and Gabriella Pelkey of Cornelius; siblings, Thomas, Jr., Gregory, Gabriella and Nicholla.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, March 5 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday in the chapel of James Funeral Home with Rev. Vern Dodd officiating.
