April 22. Davidson College’s final jazz concert of the year April 23 features Regina Carter, a legendary jazz artist and the unparalleled icon of jazz violin.

A native of Detroit and graduate of the New England Conservatory, she has had a remarkable 30-year career that includes multiple Grammy awards and nominations. She has received a MacArthur genius award and a Doris Duke award.

More recently, she has used her music and her voice to call attention to the social issues of today.
