Police seek 2 who stole 2015 Audi, 2018 Durango from new car dealer

Cars stolen from Modern Nissan

March 10. Cornelius Police are asking for help identifying who broke into the Modern Nissan dealership on Hwy. 21 and stole a dark gray 2015 Audi RS5 and a black 2018 Dodge Durango.

The incident in the early morning hours March 9 was caught on video.

Police say the perpetrators gained access by breaking the glass to a door. They located the keys for the vehicles and drove them through the double doors of the building. A white Dodge Charger is believed to have been involved in the theft.

  1. This is the kind of thing that is a result of the Defund the Police movement and mentality combined with letting criminals out of prison even though they have committed crimes that should have kept them there. These criminals think and believe that they can get away with breaking laws.

    This is a terrible thing for the dealership, I hope they find these thugs.

  3. I am always perplexed with these kinds of thefts from dealerships about how easy it seems to be for thieves to find the keys to the cars. Don’t the dealerships have some sort of safe or other tamper-proof lockbox where they could secure the keys?
