June 6. The Cornelius PARC Department is offering several ways for residents to take advantage of the town’s lakeside setting.

Beginner stand-up paddleboarding classes will be offered June 25, July 23 and August 20 at My Aloha Paddle and Surf. Stand-up paddleboard yoga classes will be held June 11, July 9, August 6 and September 10.

Beginner and intermediate tai chi classes are being offered lakeside at Jetton Park on Thursdays.

Cornelius PARC is also bringing back its popular “boat-in” as part of the Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Series. Viewers can watch movies from land or from a boat, where they receive audio via boat radio or handheld radio. The first movie in the series, “Zootopia,” will be shown June 11 at Ramsey Creek Park.
