Dec. 7. Thousands of people turned out for the North Mecklenburg Christmas Parade on Saturday. Everything—and everyone—from antique tractors and horse-drawn  wagons to fire trucks and Santa Claus himself paraded down Main Street from  Davidson to just south of Catawba Avenue. The long-running tradition was presented by the Davidson Fire Department and Cornelius-Lemley Volunteer Fire Department. Main Street was closed from around noon to 3 pm.
