No charges against motorist in pedestrian fatality

July 6. No charges will be filed against the driver involved in the fatal pedestrian accident in Davidson June 17. Davidson Police say the victim, Suzanne Younts, apparently walked between two vehicles stopped at the red light in the southbound lane of Main Street. She was struck by a vehicle traveling in the northbound lane of Main Street, according to police. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office agreed with the DPD findings. Younts, who lived nearby, passed away at the scene on June 17 at approximately 1:15 p.m

    Not even a citation for leaving the scene?! Doesn’t seem right.

      Your question is mis-informed. Davidson Police say the vehicle operator “stayed on scene and cooperated fully throughout the length of the investigation.”
