Davidson Police ID victim of pedestrian fatality

June 18. Davidson resident Suzanne Younts died yesterday after being struck by a vehicle on Main Street near her home. Davidson Police said the accident happened at 1:02 pm yesterday.

The Hillside Drive resident was on Main Street near the intersections of Chairman Blake and South Streets. Davidson Police and Fire responded. The 64-year-old former teacher died on the scene as a result of her injuries.

Accident reconstruction officers from Davidson Police Department have been assisted by the Cornelius Police and Huntersville Police Departments.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131.

In 2016 Cornelius resident Janet McFadden, the well-known owner of Davidson Pet Sitters, was struck and killed on Main Street.
