June 17. Davidson Police say a 64-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she suffered when struck by a vehicle on Main Street. The incident, which occurred around 1 pm, is being investigated by the Davidson Police Department and NC State Highway Patrol. Five years ago a Cornelius resident was also struck and killed on Main Street.

Main Street from Jackson Street to Concord Road is closed during the investigation.
