Oct 13. Owen McAllister of Mooresville won the NASA Prototype class championship Sept. 18 at the 2022 National Auto Sport Association Championships.  

 More than 350 amateur and semi-pro drivers from across the United States converged on WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to compete for a championship in more than 30 racing and Time Trial classes. This year’s NASA Championships marked the second time NASA has held its Championships in Monterey, Calif. 

 Drivers competed in time-based qualifying and one qualifying race before the Championship races.
