Mooresville delays ‘fireworks spectacular’ originally planned for New Year’s Eve

The Town of Mooresville promises the fireworks display will be spectacular for it’s 150th anniversary kickoff on Jan. 14.

Dec. 29. The 150th Anniversary Kick-Off Fireworks Spectacular has been postponed because of  weather from New Year’s Eve to Jan. 14.

The event will feature a giant soccer kick, disco car, ninja course, climbing wall, face painting, balloon artist, roaming magician and more.

The event is 4-7:30 pm Jan. 14 at LangTree Village, 401 Langtree Rd., Mooresville.

The firework show will begin promptly at 7 pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit back and enjoy the show.

Parking

Parking at LangTree is limited and the town will provide complimentary shuttle service from two park-and-ride locations:

—Merino Mill, 500 S. Main St Mooresville, 28115

—The Cove Church, 197 Langtree Rd. Mooresville 28117

Shuttle pick-up begins at 3:45 pm. Final shuttle depart the event at 8 pm.

Huntersville

Huntersville has postponed its anniversary celebration from Dec. 31 to Jan. 7. The event will be held at Birkdale Village.
