June 18. “Miss May’s Elegant Tea,” honoring the late Miss May Davidson, will be held Sunday, August 15 from 2 – 4 pm, at Historic Rural Hill. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20’s.

Tickets are $30 per adult and $15 per child. Rural Hill, which was one of the largest plantations in Mecklenburg County, remained in the Davidson family until 1992, when the last surviving children (John Springs, Elizabeth, and Annie May) sold the property to Mecklenburg County.
