Matilda “Matti” Ciccone, of Cornelius, NC. Matti Ciccone was born on September 1, 1942 in New York City. Her father’s name was Stephen Petras and her mother’s name was Bessie Petras.

She is survived by her husband Daniel J Ciccone, her loving spouse of 54 years; daughter, Denise Ciccone Hintz; sons, Daniel Ciccone and Christopher Ciccone. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Paige Hintz, Adriana Ciccone and Dominic Ciccone; and by her daughter in law, Jeanine Ciccone.

Matti and her husband Dan started their marriage in New York and Dan’s career took him and Matti to many wonderful locations around the world. Matti lived in NY, Michigan and Florida as well as Europe in the 1980’s. Matti loved to travel and was able to accompany Dan to all countries of Europe, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil and Argentina. Matti and Dan retired to Belmont, NC and five years ago to Cornelius, NC. She was an avid reader, loved to cook for her friends and family. She will forever be in the many hearts of her loved ones.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on August 12, 2017 at Bailey’s Glenn Clubhouse, Meetinghouse Rd., Cornelius, 28031.  Memorial Donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
