Nov. 4. Lake Norman Lucky Cats, whose goal is to offer humane, long-term solutions to cat overpopulation, is holding a Fall Fix-a-thon Raffle to cover the costs of caring for and placing 250 community cats.

It hopes to raise $25,000 through a raffle—with amazing items including:

—2021 iPad Pro with M1 chip

—Two-night Oak Island waterfront vacation

—Three-night cabin on Lake Norman

—One of five $100 Amazon gift cards

The raffle drawing will be held Jan. 15.

There has been an explosion in community cat and kitten populations during the pandemic. Turning a community cat into a Lucky Cat costs an average of $100, the volunteer-driven organization says.
