LKN Trump boat parade brings out thousands

July 4. What seemed like thousands of boats joined in the LKN Trump Boat Parade Saturday afternoon. The parade, which stretched as far as the eye could see on the western side of the lake, brought out all manner of craft, from personal watercraft to pontoon boats, from large sailboats to cabin cruisers. In between were local law enforcement boats, choppy waters and plenty of heat.

Overhead were multiple flyovers and a handful of drones. A motorcycle parade followed a land route starting in Davidson.

There were literally thousand of boats, some with multiple passengers, in a parade that was ultimately several miles long.

Parade organizers expected more than 20,000 people to attend the event which includes a gathering at Queen’s Landing in Mooresville that runs until 11 pm.
