The Lake Norman Covekeepers meeting, at 7 p.m. Jan. 22, will feature guest speaker Dr. Craig Allen, chairman of the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences at UNCC. He will address the  complex and diverse lake environment as well as vital ecological issues. The meeting is at the East Lincoln Fire Department, 406 South Pilot Knob Road, Stanley.
