Kitten season is here. Interested in fostering?

March 12. Kitten season has started early this year at Lake Norman Humane and the group needs fosters.

On any given day,  Lake Norman Humane  receives dozens of intake requests for animals in need.

“The number of requests far exceed our in-house capacity for care. Loving foster homes allow us to provide care for many more vulnerable animals from our community and save more lives,” according to a  Lake Norman Humane post.

There are many reasons an animal may require foster, whether it be for medical treatment, a quiet place to decompress outside of the shelter, or to give the youngest kittens and puppies a chance to grow and gain strength before they are ready for adoption.

Lake Norman Humane, 2106 Charlotte Hwy., Mooresville, provides foster with all necessary supplies and guidance. Fosters supply love, TLC and a quiet space in your home where you can keep fosters separate from resident animals.
