Jetton Extension closing update
April 8. Jetton Road Extension will continue to be closed 7 pm to 6 am while road work continues.
And if you venture down the road during the day, expect a bumpy, dusty ride.
The extension has become a popular alternative for drivers seeking to avoid congestion on West Catawba, but the roadway has deteriorated and the “bump-outs” near intersections are considered outdated and dangerous.
The work is part of a project that includes removing all on-street parking and adding bike lanes, as well as repaving from West Catawba to Liverpool. The town will also add a 10-foot multi-use path on the south side of Jetton Extension, and a 27-space public parking lot near the building at 19924 Jetton where Lakeside Sports Chiropractic is located.

can’t this street be made for local traffic only during construction. the dust is quite extreme for residents of the area
