Jack’s Corner Tap is closing this Saturday, according to posts on the restaurant’s social media feeds.
The final day of operations will be Saturday, April 4, according to the posts.
“From our first-time visitors to longtime regulars, you’ve filled our corner of the Lake Norman area with good vibes and great stories — and we can’t thank you enough.”
Jack’s opened in 2016 in Magnolia Plaza, providing a home for sports fans, especially college and NFL fans in the fall.
There was some confusion because the restaurant posted the news on Instagram on April 1, April Fools’ Day, and followed up with another post on Facebook on April 2.
Owner Robin Bailey, responding to the confusion in Instagram comments, posted, “We Really wish that this is was (sic) a joke, but it’s not, I’m sorry!!”
Messages left for the restaurant were not immediately returned.
