Hop Into Spring at Rec Center (not Robbins Park)

UPDATED. It’s very cold for bunnies and sure as shootin’ it’s gonna rain tomorrow. That means the Hop Into Spring event at Robbins Park is being moved to the JV Washam Rec Center at 9611 Westmoreland Road. The Community Egg Hunt at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church will go on as planned at 11 am.

“Our leaders have Plan B for where to hide the eggs if it rains,” says Rev. Dr. Mary John Dye, senior pastor.

The weather man says rain is likely, mainly after 10 am. It’ll be cloudy with highs only around 43. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

The Hop Into Spring event, put on by the PARC Department, includes face painting, music, concessions and plenty of activities for fun on a dreary day. It runs from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The PARC Dept. says bring baskets to collect candy and toy-filled eggs to the Washam Rec Center.
