Sept. 22. If it seems like summer was only yesterday, well, it was. Today’s the first day of fall in not just Cornelius, but the entire Northern Hemisphere. The fall equinox occurred at 9:31 am, at the same moment worldwide, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac. Weather-wise, fall began sometime over the past month, but it will really feel like fall today. The National Weather Service says we’ll have a high near 73 and plenty of sunshine.
