April 14

Outdoor Adventure: Spring Stroll

10-11:30 am at Robbins Park (meet at the shelter by the playground). Laura Domingo, a naturalist with Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation, will be leading the hike and providing information about the park’s wildlife along the way. While these trails are pet friendly, for this group hike, pets are not permitted. No strollers; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advance registration required.

April 14, Maundy Thursday services

7 pm Foot washing and communion. Inclusion Community, inside The Hut (Cornelius Presbyterian Church), 21209 Catawba Ave.

7 pm worship. In-person and livestreamed. Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Dr.

7 pm service of remembrance of the last supper of Jesus with his disciples. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion Ave, Cornelius.

7 pm. Holy Eucharist Rite II. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.

April 15, Good Friday services

Noon worship. In-person and livestreamed. Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Dr.

7 pm. Christ Community, 16301 Old Statesville Rd.,  Huntersville.

7pm  in the sanctuary. This service remembers the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion Ave, Cornelius.

7 pm. “The Art of Lament.”  Inclusion Community, inside  The Hut (Cornelius Presbyterian Church), 21209 Catawba Ave.

Noon. Stations of the Cross, outdoors if weather permits. 7 pm Good Friday Service. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.

10 am – 1 pm Confessions. Noon Stations of the Cross.  3 pm  Passion of the Lord and Veneration of the Cross. 6pm  La Pasion del Señor y Veneración de la Cruz. April 16, Holy Saturday services

Sunday, April 17 Easter Sunday services

7 am Holy Eucharist Rite II. 9 am Holy Eucharist Rite II, with children’s sermon, outdoors if weather permits. 10:15 am Children’s Easter Egg Hunt. 11 am Holy Eucharist Rite II. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.

7 pm. Christ Community, 16301 Old Statesville Rd.,  Huntersville.

April 17, Easter Sunday

7:30 and 9 am sanctuary, with coffee and fellowship between services. 10:15 am children’s Easter egg hunt. 11 am outdoors service.  Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Dr., Cornelius.

7 am outdoor service with a pancake breakfast to follow; 9:45 am front lawn; 8:30 and 11 am sanctuary. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church,  19600 Zion Ave., Cornelius.

10:15 am. Inclusion Community, meets at  The Hut (Cornelius Presbyterian Church), 21209 Catawba Ave.

  1. I’m a bit disappointed. Last week I sent the schedule for St. Mark in Huntersville (sending in 2 pages from the Sunday bulletin), but it does not appear here. This time I’ve put as a website the direct link to the bulletin. The information is on pages 2 & 3. I hope it can make it to the next update.
