A Morning with the Easter Bunny 

10 am – noon.  Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy Easter-themed crafts, snacks and a chance to take a photo with Peter Cottontail. Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone to this free event. Cain Center for the Arts, downtown Cornelius.

Alex Nikolaidis Konstas ’22 Exhibition Presentation and Reception

4-6 pm. An opening reception with Alex Nikolaidis Konstas ’22. Artist’s talk will be presented in-person and via Zoom. To attend by Zoom please RSVP.  A reception will follow the presentation. Visual Arts Center VAC-117 Semans Lecture Hall, Davidson College.

April 16

A morning with the Easter Bunny

10am – noon. Bring your toddlers and preschoolers for creative Easter-themed activities and tasty snacks.  Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for cute photo ops with your little ones. Free. Registration is recommended.

Easter Egg Hunt

11 am to 1pm. Blackberry Ridge Farm, 14820 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville,is hosting an Easter egg hunt from open to everyone ages 2-12 and a rock scavenger hunt as well for adults. Face painting, yard games, creating veggie or flower pots, and everyone leaves with a bag of candy. There will also be food, drinks, and cotton candy, served by King Tut’s Hot Dog Palace. Admission is  $10 for ages 2-12 and free for anyone older.

9 am- noon. 120 S. Main St., Davidson. Rain or shine, No pets please.

April 15, Good Friday services

Noon worship. In-person and livestreamed. Community in Christ Lutheran Church, 7621 Norman Island Dr.

7 pm. Christ Community, 16301 Old Statesville Rd.,  Huntersville.

7pm  in the sanctuary. This service remembers the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion Ave, Cornelius.

7 pm. “The Art of Lament.”  Inclusion Community, inside  The Hut (Cornelius Presbyterian Church), 21209 Catawba Ave.

Noon. Stations of the Cross, outdoors if weather permits. 7 pm Good Friday Service. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.

10 am – 1 pm Confessions. Noon Stations of the Cross.  3 pm  Passion of the Lord and Veneration of the Cross. 6pm  La Pasion del Señor y Veneración de la Cruz. 7 am Holy Eucharist Rite II. 9 am Holy Eucharist Rite II, with children’s sermon, outdoors if weather permits. 10:15 am Children’s Easter Egg Hunt. 11 am Holy Eucharist Rite II. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Ln., Davidson.

April 18

Open Track Nights on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays

6-8 pm. James Hoyt Wilhelm Park’s 1/4-mile walking track will be lighted on Mondays and Bailey Road Park’s regulation track will be lighted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both open to the public.

2022 Lake Norman Big Band

Tickets are $25 per person. New Victory Lanes, 125 Morlake Drive, Mooresville.

Cardio Funk

6:30-7:30 pm Mondays. Drop in for this high-energy class at Bailey Road Recreation Center. $10 per class, pay at the door.
